CANADIAN CLUB // CANADA
This Canadian Club was a special edition of WUG tasting. Yale, our main provider for this month, brought a bottle that he had in his archive. A bottle from 1950, still sealed, of 6 year, 1950 Canadian Club~Blended Whisky. Upon opening this beauty, it was so old that the cork had deteriorated and when attempting to uncork, it ripped in half and when using a cork screw broke down the cork. We used a coffee filter to pour this and minimize the cork in our tasting.
It was surprisingly better than a current Canadian Club. This bottle surprised most of us in its taste.
