About WUG

WUG, or the Whiskey UnderGround, is a club  founded on an idea of bringing its members together to first, be better educated when it comes to the world of whiskey and what is out there.  Second, to bring its followers a comprehensive review of such whiskeys while also taking into consideration the wide variety of price points one will find when shopping for whiskey.  Lastly, the club does this with a variety of members that include the non-whiskey drinker or novice to the expert whiskey distiller and all that exists in-between.  The WUG consists of Members, Honorary Members and Whiskey Correspondents from around the country.

It is the hope of the club, that it is able to provide perspective that is close to its followers with in turn provides for a better shopping experience and perhaps a better educated consumer! 

 A WUG Club member follows the following very simple rules: 

1. No discussion of politics
2. No discussion of work (unless whiskey is your work, then talk away…Landis)
3. The monthly providing member comes to its meeting with a whiskey that they themselves have never had, if possible (regardless of whether anyone else in the group has had it) without regard to cost.  Whether its high end or frankly, gasoline (Canadian Gold-Light Whiskey), we owe it to those that follow to provide an honest review with various possible considerations for consuming (Neat, on the rocks or even heated over an open flame).
