This Scotch was a super smoky batch! The reviews were mixed and this was most certainly a true Scots drink. The one thing that we could agree on was that it was a better drink neat than it was on the rocks. On the rocks, this drink was as if it was the bottom of an ash-tray smokey. This was provided by none other than Jason A.. He originally selected this because the unique packaging it offered. It was a nice variance from our normal variety of whiskey. The Scotch lovers in the group enjoyed this spirit neat.
Appearance / Color: Golden Amber
Nose / Aroma / Smell: The aromas waft like perfume, filled with floral notes, fresh-cut grass, orange sherbet, and honey.
Flavor / Taste / Palate: The palate is full and deep with toasted cream of wheat, more florals — heather and jasmine — and flamed orange zest.
Finish: The finish is long with blooming wet wood and roasted pepper.
